Andrew Miksys was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and now lives in Lithuanian. His photographs have been shown internationally, including exhibitions at the Seattle Art Museum, Vilnius Contemporary Art Centre, and De Apple Contemporary Arts Centre. His chosen image comes from his book Disko (2013), which explores the history and current state of his homeland through an insight into Lithuanian youth culture, specifically village discos. His third book, Tulips, and the second edition of Disko, are both due to be released this year.
