Stephen Gill: Hackney Kisses
Stephen Gill purchased 9,000 negatives on eBay, said to contain images of London's East End in the 1950's. What he found was thousands and thousands of wedding pictures. All of the found images were made by one photographer, but no one knows who they are. This collection showcases the anonymous photographer's focus and organized effort to capture the heartfelt kiss shared by many different individuals.
