Over a 10 year period, Rodland chooses to challenge the postmodern world of filters by redefining the possibilities of psychological, erotic, and spiritual subjectivity and inter-connectivity. Rodland experiments with various styles of portraiture through this diaristic approach to interacting with the medium and the common subject. Malgosia, the model, is seen interacting with images, creating images, and becoming the image as the photographer cycles between feelings of alienation and intimacy with her.
